River Cities brochure, 1984.

Multicolor printed paper brochure issued in May 1984 to promote the new River Cities (Kansas City-St. Louis-New Orleans). The train extended existing Kansas City-St. Louis service east to Centralia, Ill., where through cars were combined/uncoupled from the City of New Orleans (Chicago-New Orleans). Creation of this direct route built on excitement over the Louisiana World Exposition held in New Orleans in summer 1984. From the Ann Owens Collection.

Full color brochure describing classes aboard NortheastDirect (Washington-Boston) trains; dates to the late 1990s. Custom Class passengers enjoyed 2x2 seating with more legroom, complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and newspapers. Club Class passengers were offered spacious 2x1 seating, access to Railfone, at-seat food and beverage service and admission to Metropolitan Lounges at major stations. From the Ann Owens Collection.
