This poster capitalized on the gasoline shortages of the 1970s to promote travel via Amtrak: "Gas Pains? Take Amtrak for Relief!" Rushing out of the medicine bottle is a train led by F40PH locomotive #215, dressed in the Phase II livery from 1975; the consist includes new single-level Amfleet cars introduced that same year. This image also appeared on the cover of the national system timetable issued on July 29, 1979.
