This film slide, part of a set commissioned by Amtrak Marketing, shows the Sunset Limited amid wetlands along the Gulf of Mexico near Bay St. Louis, Miss. The bi-level Superliner cars in this image wear the Phase IV livery introduced in 1993.

In 1995, this route ran between Los Angeles and Miami via New Orleans; service east of New Orleans was suspended following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
