This film slide, part of a set commissioned by Amtrak Marketing, shows the Sunset Limited crossing Escambia Bay east of Pensacola, Fla. The two locomotives wear the Phase III livery introduced in 1979 while the bi-level Superliner cars sport the Phase IV livery introduced in 1993.
In 1995, this route ran between Los Angeles and Miami via New Orleans; service east of New Orleans was suspended following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
