Lead service attendant checking a passenger log, 2015.

Lead Service Attendant (LSA) Keith Miller checks the passenger log in the Vermonter's cafe car. The LSA is responsible for practicing excellent customer service, providing food and beverage service and creating attractive displays of available merchandise. He or she also has delegated responsibility for material usage and handles payments.

The Amfleet I cafe cars typically used on the Vermonter include a food service counter in the center, with booth style seating on one end and 1x2 business class seating on the other end.

The Vermonter is financed primarily through funds made available by the Vermont Agency of Transportation, the Connecticut Department of Transportation and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
