Lead Service Attendant (LSA) Omar Bailey walks through the train to take lunch reservations from sleeping car and coach passengers. The LSA is responsible for food and beverage service in the dining car, supervising dining car personnel and providing excellent customer service. He or she also has delegated responsibility for material usage and handles payments. In fiscal year 2014, the Silver Meteor carried just short of 349,000 travelers.
