To celebrate 10 years of operations in 1981, Amtrak produced two special commemorative items: a limited-edition color lithograph and a silver coin. The lithograph, above, included a stylized F40PH locomotive in the Phase III paint scheme, accompanied by the phrase "The Dawn of a New Decade." The design of the coin was similar, but it also included the inscription "May 1, 1971-May 1, 1981."
