Two-color printed paper flyer issued in January 1977 to promote discounted round-trip coach fares on the daily Floridian (Chicago-Tampa-St.Petersburg/Miami).

Multicolor printed paper brochure highlighting the new single-level Viewliner sleeping cars. From the Ann Owens Collection; dates to the mid-late 1990s. Viewliners, manufactured by Amerail and introduced in 1996, are primarily used on routes in the East and Midwest where tunnel and bridge clearances preclude the use of Superliners.

Carolinian inaugural invitation, 1990.

Multi-color printed paper invitation with envelope and RSVP card issued for the inauguration of the Carolinian (New York-Charlotte). From the Ann Owens Collection. Through the financial support of the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the current version of the Carolinian launched with an inaugural run on May 11, 1990. Although the train ran between Charlotte and New York, it was paired with the Palmetto (New York-Jacksonville, Fla.) between Rocky Mount, N.C.
and New York City. In 1991, the Carolinian began
traveling the entire New York-Charlotte route as
a separate train.
