The Michigan Executive, financed in part by a grant from the Michigan Department of Highways and Transportation, was an unreserved coach service run between Detroit and Jackson. It replaced Penn Central-operated commuter service between Detroit and Ann Arbor. Due to low ridership, The Michigan Executive was discontinued in January 1984 when the state declined to continue funding a portion of the costs.
