Amclub section of Amfleet I car No. 20118, 1981.

According to advertisements from the mid-1970s, Amclub was "a whole new way to travel in first-class luxury." The new single-level Amfleet cars built by the Budd Company and introduced in 1975 included food service cars with an Amclub. The cars had a food service counter in the middle. One end contained the 18 seat (2x1 arrangement) Amclub section shown above, while the other end included 23 standard coach seats.

The Amclub section was separated from the rest of the train for a quiet, secluded atmosphere. Club car attendants also provided at-seat food and beverage service.
