Service attendants (SA) such as Joannie Gunpat, shown above in the single-level Heritage dining car onboard the northbound Silver Meteor, are responsible for providing excellent customer service and performing all necessary duties related to serving food, beverage and other specified items.
Prior to departure, the SA assists with verification and storage of stock and ensures all required items for table set-up are provided and are in clean, usable condition. During the trip, the SA sets all tables in a uniform manner, assists in sidework such as the positioning of salads and dessert, places orders and delivers meals.
