This film slide, part of a set commissioned by Amtrak Marketing, shows the Sunset Limited traveling through a southern Alabama woodland. On the trestle, the car with the large windows is the Sightseer Lounge where passenger can relax in an informal setting and watch the passing scenery.
In 1995, this route ran between Los Angeles and Miami via New Orleans; service east of New Orleans was suspended following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
