The "Amtrak: A Safe Team On Time" campaign began in the 1980s as a way to promote the company goals of general safety and good on-time performance for trains. The phrase was used on various internal documents and was even painted on locomotives. Buttons like this one were distributed to employees. From the Ann Owens Collection.
