This original artwork, created for Amtrak Marketing by the advertising firm of Great Incorporated, was probably commissioned for use in a tour brochure. It depicts typical scenes from the Northeast including the Statue of Liberty; a stylized version of the Massachusetts State House; and the dome of the United States Capitol. The colonial era flag may indicate that this work was produced around the time of the country's bicentennial in 1976. The train in the bottom left appears to be one of the Turboliners then in use in New York state. Artist: Unknown From the Ann Owens Collection
