Intercity Express train timetable, 1993.

Printed paper timetable for the Intercity Express (ICE) train used in scheduled Metroliner Service; dates to October 1993. As Amtrak explored the development of modern high-speed rail in the early 1990s, it leased a German electric Intercity Express trainset for testing and revenue service on the Northeast Corridor. The Siemens-built ICE train reached 165 mph in testing and was used in scheduled Metroliner Service from Oct.-Dec. 1993. From the Ingwar Afeldt Collection.
